The owner of a classic home on Belle Haven Peninsula in Greenwich came to us to help with her landscape design. She had hired a landscape architect who proposed two schemes, both of which were too ostentatious for the client’s desires. We collaborated with the client to help realize her vision for the garden.

The pool is situated on the site in a classical style, aligning itself symmetrically on the long axis with the entrance to the lounge on the lower level of the house. The short axis aligns itself with a new stepped footpath lined with hydrangeas to the outdoor kitchen and dining patio on the upper level. Short stone retention walls were planned in to reconcile the slope of the site and to control drainage.
